    The Children’s Festival’s headline event, Little Day Out – for BIG imaginations, will be held on Sunday 1 October at Noble Park’s Ross Reserve, 11am–4pm. Little Day Out is a free family event with an ‘Animal Kingdom’ theme. It is going to be roaring fun for everyone! Explore and get crazy with camel rides, themed arts and craft workshop, circus play, animal farm, and more.

    The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated by Chinese speaking people around the globe. The festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese Lunar Calendar when the moon is at its fullest and brightest. The Whittlesea Chinese Association will celebrate the occasion with cultural performances, singing and dancing, followed by a children’s lantern parade.  

    The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated by Chinese speaking people around the globe.

    The ever-popular Darebin Music Feast is back for 2017, taking over venues right across the municipality with over 100 events from 12 – 22 October. Running for over 20 years, the 11-day festival is a celebration of Darebin’s musical community. In 2017, the event will offer audiences a diverse range of music-based experiences, across feature events, industry development opportunities and an open-access program. A broadened focus will see events featuring Indigenous, queer and female voices come to the fore, and introduce electronic music and sound art events alongside Festival favourites such as the Darebin Live – Open Access program and the Darebin Music Feast Songwriters’ Award.
